Francisca Infante

Francisca Infante E. has spent her career implementing and evaluating policies
and programs addressing human development, equity, and social justice at the
international, national, and community level. She has also worked developing
curriculum and training on community engagement and social change for
university programs on health and social science. She is now the Board Vice-
President at the Global Implementation Society (GIS) where she is committed to
build evidence as well as define key elements for replicability while respecting
context-specific culture. Francisca had the opportunity to work with Promundo in
the late 90's while employed at the Adolescent Health and Development
Program at the Panamerican Health Organization/World Health Organization in
Washington DC. Later she moved back to her country to work in the Ministry of
Health as a technical advisor on human development and social equity, leading
country-wide civic participation and intersectoral alliances for addressing social
determinants of health. For the past six years, she was Dean of Social Science at
Universidad de las Américas in Chile. Francisca is a Social Psychologist from
Universidad Diego Portales in Chile, with a master’s degree in education from
Harvard University, and is now in the last stage for her Ph.D. writing her
dissertation on higher education and citizenship development at Leiden
University.
