8.11 – 10.11 / Marco Aurélio Martins, Campaigns and Networks Coordinator, participated in the meeting “Buscando Salidas al Laberinto de las Violencias”, and presented the video Minha Vida de João and the paper entitled,“Masculinidades involucradas – Perspectivas de género en las propuestas de seguridad pública” (Marco Aurélio Martins, Gary Barker and Tatiana Moura), in Medellin, Colombia.
14.11 – 16.11 / Márcio Segundo, Research and Evaluation Coordinator, presented the research findings from the project: “To promote increased involvement of men and boys in promotion of gender equity and the reduction of violence against women and girls” funded by UN Trust Fund/UNIFEM, at the 2nd seminar on Gender and Masculinity, in Montevideo, Uruguay.
14.11 – 16.11 / Vanessa Fonseca, Programs Coordinator, presented the H Program at “Second Global Consultation: On Addressing Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Engaging Men and Boys in Gender Equality in National HIV Planning Processes” organized by the UN Interagency Working Group on Women, Girls, Gender Equality and HIV, and in partnership with the MenEngage Alliance, Sonke Gender Justice, Promundo and the ATHENA Network, in Istanbul, Turkey.
15.11 – 16.11 / Gary Barker, Tatiana Moura and Marco Aurélio Martins attended the MenEngage Executive and Steering Committee Meeting, hosted by Promundo and Sonke Gender Justice, in Washington, DC, USA.
17.11 / Piotr Pawlak, Marco Aurélio Martins, Gary Barker, Tatiana Moura, Karina Ngaiza, William Kauffman and Michele Frome hosted the MenCare – Global Fatherhood Campaign launch,organized by Instituto Promundo and Sonke Gender Justice in House of Sweden, Washington, DC, USA.
17.11 / Tatiana Moura participated in the “Engaging Men and Boys”, panel organized by the Coalition for Adolescent Girls, United Nations Foundation, in Washington, DC, USA.
17.11 – 18.11 / Piotr Pawlak led the presentation of the research project results “Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Adolescent Boys: Building Knowledge and Improving Practice in Research and Programming”, funded by OAK Foundation, in Washington, DC, USA.
18.11/ Gary Barker, Marco Aurélio Martins and Tatiana Moura hosted the MenCare Advisory Group and Partners meeting organized by Promundo and Sonke Gender Justice Network in House of Sweden, Washington DC, USA.
